The free Career Preview asks five quick questions about the type of work you enjoy, your strongest skills, your preferred environment, the responsibilities that appeal to you, and your career priorities. Based on your answers, we identify one possible career direction for you to explore. The preview takes about 1–2 minutes and is free with no card required.

You need a free account to save your answers and see your results. Creating an account takes under a minute — just an email address and password.

Can I retake the preview?

How is the free preview different from Ascend Personal?

The free Career Preview is based on five questions and provides one possible career direction for general exploration. It does not include human review, individualized research, salary data, education recommendations, or a personalized action plan. Ascend Personal includes a full 24-question assessment, human review of every response, five personalized career recommendations with detailed research, and a 90-Day Ascend Action Plan.

Ascend Personal ($99 one-time) includes a full 24-question assessment, human review of every response, five personalized career recommendations with explanations, salary and employment outlook research, education and certification requirements, school and training program research, career comparison, and a personalized 90-Day Ascend Action Plan. Turnaround is approximately 2–3 business days.

What does Ascend Connect include?

Ascend Connect ($179 one-time) includes everything in Ascend Personal plus a personalized résumé review, career-readiness guidance, admission to one eligible Ascend-hosted career event, and employer and industry-professional networking opportunities.

Are Ascend Personal and Ascend Connect subscriptions?

No. Both are one-time payments. Once you purchase, your results and deliverables are yours permanently — no recurring charges, no renewal required.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through GoDaddy Payments. Your payment is processed securely and your card details are never stored on our servers.

Can I get a refund?

Who can see my assessment answers?

Only you. Your assessment answers are private to your account and are never shared with employers, third parties, or other users.

Can I delete my account and data?

Yes. Contact us at any time and we'll permanently delete your account and all associated data within 30 days.

How often is the career catalog updated?

We review and update career data — including salary ranges, job outlook figures, and education paths — on a quarterly basis. Event listings are updated continuously as new events are confirmed.

Can I suggest a career to add to the catalog?

Absolutely. Use the contact form to send us a suggestion. We prioritize additions based on demand and the availability of reliable data.
